Tech Lead, Corporate Engineering

About the role

The Tech Lead, Corporate Engineering position is responsible for leading projects critical to Google's Procurement and Commercial needs, directly supporting our fast-paced business growth. The role involves leveraging expertise in distributed computing, large-scale system design, artificial intelligence, security, and UI design to build robust systems that handle information at scale.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop highly scalable platforms and networking infrastructure.
• Engineer enterprise-grade internal systems that empower thousands of Googlers globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working with web applications and distributed systems.
• Experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience programming in Java.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence into workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience working on internal tools within supply chain, human resources, procurement and commercials.
• Experience working with machine learning and data modeling.
