About the Role

The Server MB Repair Tech L3 is responsible for troubleshooting server motherboards at the component level, including diagnostics, issue isolation, component replacement, soldering, and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Identify server motherboard problems and narrow down issues.
  • Check for CID (Customer-Induced Damage) and ensure the motherboard is repairable before proceeding.
  • Troubleshoot and repair server motherboards.
  • Follow repair instructions and operational procedures.
  • Perform solder work at the component level as needed.
  • Check for excessive flux residue, solder bridges, cold or short solder pads, shifted pads/pins, and correct polarity.
  • Clean motherboards using alcohol and cloth.
  • Conduct quick tests to verify repairs before sending to the test team.
  • Organize good parts, non-conforming parts, repair tooling, and mockups.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs defined for business and operational requirements, including a target of 8 repairs per day.
  • Submit KPI reports on time at the end of each working day.
  • Maintain daily records for ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) audits.
  • Utilize company time efficiently and productively, including punctuality for breaks and personal matters.
  • Adapt to changing work assignments based on project needs, such as inspection, soldering, testing, or data input.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and healthy work environment while supporting company culture.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in a related electronics field preferred.
  • Over 12 months of experience in computer repair or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel to read instructions and track data.

Working Conditions

  • Moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
