Tech Asst-Radiology

About the Role

Provide assistance to technologists, physicians, and other staff members with peripheral activities associated with general diagnostic exams or other specialty areas as directed. This position also provides back-up services as a Technical Associate and as a PSR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams
• Assist physicians during procedures as directed
• Obtain necessary supplies for procedures
• Accompany patients
• Process paperwork, computer entries, and image processing

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience working in a direct patient care related field
• Healthcare provider CPR certification
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Meditech, Epic, or Performance Manager/NetLearning (if applicable)
• Ability to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact tactfully with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, and the public
• Flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Basic medical terminology and customer service experience preferred.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $17.83 – $26.75 USD. Compensation decisions are based on internal equity, role scope, and market data. Most new hires are placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range.
