About the Team

Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging, and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography, and myelography technology. Services include anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology, and spine care.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests, patient care, and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper diagnosis of patients.
• Operates imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures including C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, and portable x-ray unit.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray and fluoroscopy.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images while maintaining ALARA standards.
• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment.
• Protects patients and personnel from radiation hazards.
• Maintains required records such as daily log books.
• Navigates the PACS system including review of images and uploading outside exams.
• Applies and maintains current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
• Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports issues to the radiology manager.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited Radiology Program.
• ARRT (R) Registry.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of X-Ray Tech experience.
