Tech Assistant - PRN
Cardinal Points Imaging is seeking an experienced Tech Assistant for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging center in Raleigh, NC.
About the role
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:
- Supports the radiology staff and provides the first clinical point of contact for patients.
- Facilitates patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize resource utilization.
- Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team, seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Support radiology staff in daily operations.
- Manage patient intake and flow to reduce wait times.
- Ensure compliance with imaging safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance clinical practices.
Requirements
- One year of experience as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
Skills
- Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioners.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Accurate and concise documentation skills.
- Understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
