About the role

The Imaging Care Associate PRN supports the Imaging team in providing excellent patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for testing and/or procedures including patient positioning
• Transports patients as requested
• Responds to inquiries from patients and family members
• Collaborates with team members across OU Health to provide exceptional patient care
• Cleans, disinfects and organizes to provide a welcoming environment for patients
• Assists with scheduling and other clerical tasks
• Assists with data entry, patient records, documentation and filing
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of patient care experience required
• Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required

Skills

• Ability to provide exceptional service and care to patients
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the imaging/radiology discipline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards
• Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others
• Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled
• Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes
• Ability and desire to learn and grow in the Imaging profession
