About the role

A Technologist Aide at Radiology Forward supports a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in 21st-century healthcare. This role ensures smooth operations in a dynamic, team-focused environment with opportunities for cross-training and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information.
  • Assist team members by notifying them of patient arrival.
  • Communicate delays in appointments promptly and offer rescheduling to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Obtain proper insurance/authorizations, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel new or current patient appointments; confirm appointments and notify staff of changes.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.
  • Assist technologists with patients.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology; recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • Passion for patient care and sound judgment in all situations.
  • Effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Structured work approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

$18–$24 per hour.
