Responsibilities

• Linux server administration (Red Hat and SUSE), including command-line, patching, upgrades, and software install/deploy capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus).
• Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Developer.
• AWS experience - solid understanding of operating Linux workloads in an AWS environment.
• Strong, independently motivated approach to maintaining systems, documenting environments, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• DB2 and Teradata interface experience.
• Background supporting mainframe-to-cloud lift-and-shift migrations.
• Comfort with COBOL, JCL, and control cards in a modernized Linux context.
• Ability to demonstrate a questioning attitude toward established work processes and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge, skills and experience to perform all work requirements for the specific technical discipline; Also proficient in advanced features and functions for the specific technical discipline.
• Sound leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective.
• Excellent Analytical Abilities And Troubleshooting Skills.
• Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA / BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline preferred or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines.
• Advanced degree a plus.

Skills

• Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word.
• SAP a plus.
