Tech Analist IV

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on initiatives and small-scale projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred, or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum years of experience may be reduced for candidates with a proven track record of highly effective performance.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of applicable products/services and client needs and expectations.

Skills

• 5+ years of Linux server administration (Red Hat and SUSE), including command-line, patching, upgrades, and software installation/deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) for administering COBOL workloads on Linux.
• Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Developer (sufficient familiarity to support the environment).
• AWS experience with a solid understanding of operating Linux workloads in an AWS environment.
• Strong, independently motivated approach to system maintenance, documentation, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in the specific technical discipline, including proficiency in advanced features and functions.
• Sound leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Model active learning through continuous development of knowledge, skills, and perspective.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
• Bonus experience:
  • DB2 and Teradata interface experience.
  • Background supporting mainframe-to-cloud lift-and-shift migrations.
  • Comfort with COBOL, JCL, and control cards in a modernized Linux context.

Education

Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Higher education may be specified as required for the position.
