Tech 1, Product Development Engineering - Onsite

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ • Duration: 6 months • Hours: 40/week (1st shift) • Employment type: W2 contract • Work authorization: US Citizen, GC holder, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT • Rate: $25/hr on-site 5 days/week

About the role

The Tech 1 is responsible for performing testing in support of product design performance throughout the product development process and life cycle management. The Technician maintains good laboratory and documentation practices by ensuring compliance with applicable client policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment, including concept feasibility, design verification, sustaining engineering, and new product development of medical devices.
• Execute test protocols using a variety of mechanical laboratory equipment and manual manipulation.
• Assist in the planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments.
• Report results to project leadership and prepare technical reports as necessary.
• Provide technical support on general laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement of lab processes.
• Assist in on-boarding and training of other associates.
• Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable client policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
