Tech 1, Maintenance- (DPFG)

Its Shift

Second shift from 3:PM till 11:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

What You’ll Do

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillers
• Affords assistance to senior technicians in troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quality standards
• Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
• Notifies management or Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
• Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed
• Affords assistance with spare parts assessments, as required
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Effective communication, both written and oral
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and programmable logic controllers (PLC) and other process control systems
• Detail oriented, and problem-solving and time management skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes

Required Skills

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or a related field
• Prior maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• No respiratory protection required

• May work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
• Will work in an environment which may necessitate respiratory protection
• Will work in an environment operating a motor vehicle or Powered Industrial Truck.
• Will work in an environment that requires ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, ramps, etc.
• Will work in an environment that requires standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Will work in an environment that requires sitting for prolonged periods of time.
• Will work in an environment that requires conducting activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Will work in an environment that requires operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Will work in an environment that requires moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Will work in an environment that requires bending, pushing or pulling, reaching to retrieve materials from 18” to 60” in height, and using twisting motions.
