Tearing Line Operator - 3rd Shift (Dalton, Georgia, United States, 30720)

What You’ll Do

• Monitor quality of the fiber that is being torn by the two tearing lines.
• Monitor the levels of fiber in the finished fiber bins.
• Keep your area clean, including machines, always.
• When all finished bins are full, the fiber is run to the balers to be baled.
• The bales are tied with ropes and the bale ticket number is recorded on the Bale production sheet.
• Bales are stored in the warehouse for future use.
• Must break down the machines when there is a problem.
• Work with maintenance to maintain machines and trouble shoot.
• The two operators give each other breaks. This means that during that time one operator is responsible for all tasks at one time.

• Maintain a detailed down time report (basic writing and math skills).
