About the role

You will lead, develop, and motivate a team of National Key Account Managers, ensuring sustainable goal achievement through clear objectives, fostering ownership, and continuous professional growth.

  • Develop and steer the national key-account strategy for the large-customer segment, identifying growth opportunities, analyzing market and customer needs, and deriving measures to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Together with your team, you are responsible for acquiring strategically relevant new customers and expanding existing customer relationships. You monitor market and competitive developments and position innovative logistics solutions.
  • Define, analyze, and manage relevant KPIs for your team and the key accounts you oversee. Through regular reporting, you derive optimization measures and ensure transparency about business performance.
  • Support your team in complex contract negotiations, the creation of customized customer proposals, and national and international tender processes, collaborating closely with internal departments such as Pricing and Legal.
  • As a central interface to Operations, Product Management, IT, and Marketing, you drive the development of holistic customer solutions.
  • Handle escalation management for strategically important customers and ensure long-term partnerships and high customer satisfaction through professional stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree, e.g., in Business Administration, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in Key Account Management, ideally with leadership responsibility in the logistics, parcel, express, or e-commerce industry.
  • Proven success in leading, motivating, and developing sales or key-account teams, as well as in acquiring and managing large customers.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex relationships and develop practical solutions.
  • Confident demeanor and strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at all hierarchical levels.
  • High level of initiative, entrepreneurial thinking, and willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis.
