Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Program Planning
- Lead member recruitment initiatives
- Aid in updating and creating new Position Descriptions
- Post Position Descriptions on Team UP Website, eGrants/myAmeriCorps, and other relevant internal and external sites
- Follow, update, and improve recruitment plan
- Attend recruitment events; speak with potential candidates about service opportunities
- Manage incoming member applications by scheduling and conducting Preliminary Interviews and coordinating with Host Sites
- Onboard and enroll new members at program start (September) and throughout the program year (rolling enrollment)
- Engage and support new members prior to their Term of Service (housing support, welcome email, regular communication, etc.)
- Assist with enrolling and importing member info into AmeriCorps systems (eGrants & OnCorps)
- Aid in assisting with National Service Criminal History Checks
- Help plan and co-facilitate Team UP AmeriCorps Member Orientation with specific focus on team-building and connection activities
- As relevant, engage with potential new Host Sites and seek opportunities for program expansion
- Member Management
- Be responsive to member and site supervisor needs by providing support, promoting professional development, and addressing concerns through problem-solving
- Learn and manage the OnCorps database system
- Send timesheet reminders to Members and Site Supervisors
- Monitor timesheets for compliance and progress
- Review Monthly Status Updates from members and site supervisors
- Negotiate successes and highlights
- Respond to concerns and needs
- Perform periodic regional Site Visits to engage with members and ensure program compliance
- Perform scheduled regional 360° evaluation to provide/receive feedback on the member, host site, and AmeriCorps program
- Help plan and co-facilitate monthly Cohort Connection Calls with specific focus on connection and team-building
- Help plan and co-facilitate monthly Team UP AmeriCorps trainings and/or service projects with specific focus on connection, group dynamics, and “life after AmeriCorps”
- Communications/Outreach
- Increase Team UP AmeriCorps presence on social media by managing current and creating new accounts
- Increase local knowledge of Team UP AmeriCorps through community communication
- Update and possibly create new marketing and recruitment materials keeping in line with the AmeriCorps and Team UP brand guidelines
- Grant Compliance
- Learn about and comply with all grant contacts and program policies
- Host Site Support
- Aid in Site Supervisor Orientation and as-needed periodic host site trainings
- Data Management/Program Reporting
- Aid in internal and external reporting efforts
