Team Support Staff - BRAINS Clinic (Full-Time)

About the role

Pine Rest is a non-profit behavioral health system dedicated to providing expert care for mental health and substance use disorders. Our services include psychiatric urgent care, a pediatric behavioral health center, outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment options, as well as specialized services like crisis response and forensic psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and directing visitors or patients
• Answering questions based on knowledge of department/organization
• Appropriately transferring and screening calls
• Maintaining calendars of supervisor(s) and members of the work group
• Inputting data in computer system
• Maintains department specific files that may be sensitive in nature
• Sorts, classifies, and files semi-complex records
• Posts appropriate information onto data entry screens
• Checks and verifies moderately complex arithmetic data
• Performs routine computations
• Creates simple queries or requests reports from other data-based systems
• Maintains medical records in clinical areas
• Assists physicians in completing medical records
• Aids in releasing medical information for continuing care, insurance purposes, etc.
• Assists persons in understanding balances on their accounts and addressing concerns
• May assist in data entry into Pine Rest’s Electronic Medical Record System
• May transcribe clinician or other staff dictation and/or edit documents given from supervisors or others
• Calculates charges, collects, and verifies chargeable for therapies / procedures (in clinical areas)
• Follows up on balances accordingly
• May assist in ordering office supplies
• Maintains composure in environments of elevated stress levels

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of related work experience preferred
• Completion of high school (or equivalent) diploma required

Pay

The equivalent base pay range for this position is $15.57 - $21.79. Your interview and offer letter will specify whether the role is hourly or salaried. Final base pay will be determined based on location, experience, education, certifications, and FTE status.
