Team Leader, Test - Surgical Support

What You Will Do

  • Lead verification strategy, test planning, execution, and reporting activities across the Surgical Support product portfolio.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers while supporting employee engagement, performance, and career growth.
  • Provide technical leadership for test method development, risk mitigation, troubleshooting, and verification deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Possess strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test engineering processes, tools, and capabilities to improve efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate on resource planning, workload prioritization, and staffing to meet portfolio and project objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent while maintaining compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (QSR).

What You Need (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in product development, testing, verification, or a related technical field.
  • Experience leading engineering projects, technical initiatives, or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of product verification, test methods, risk-based engineering practices, and technical problem solving.
  • Experience working within regulated quality environments and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and influence engineers in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or directly managing engineering teams.
  • Medical device industry experience, including knowledge of Design Controls and FDA Quality System Regulations.
  • Experience supporting verification of mechanical, electrical, software, and integrated systems.
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvements, operational excellence initiatives, or testing capability enhancements.
  • Experience with resource planning, staffing, and engineering talent development.
  • Proven track record of delivering technical programs on time, within budget, and with high quality.
