Team Leader, Sewer Construction and Maintenance

The City of Springfield is seeking a Team Leader for their Sewer Construction and Maintenance crew within the Department of Environmental Services. This role involves supervising and participating in the construction, repair, and maintenance of sewer infrastructure to manage the sanitary sewer system.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of three years experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in stormwater/water quality infrastructure or comparable areas of responsibility.
• Education and Training: At least one year of experience at the Equipment Operator II, Sewer Cleaning Working Leader, Sewer Repair Working Leader or equivalent level of responsibility; experience must be commensurate with appropriate program area for current vacancy.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements. Preferred: Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
