Team Leader Production
Lamb Weston is a leading global manufacturer of frozen potato products, serving customers in over 100 countries. This full-time, second-shift Team Leader role in Park Rapids, MN leads production staff to meet quality and output targets, drives process improvement, and ensures resources are available to maintain schedules.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production to ensure quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained.
- Provide employee training to ensure effective performance of job responsibilities.
- Assist with supervision of sanitation operations to promote a clean, food-safe environment.
- Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide feedback for work performance improvement.
- Participate in plant and company safety programs, promoting adherence to requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and confined space entry.
- Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues.
- Ensure production resources — materials, equipment, and human resources — are available to maintain production schedules.
- Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
- Manage and own various business functions to create an engaged, team-oriented workforce that improves business results.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or other Natural Science degrees preferred; other degrees considered.
- 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss.
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
- Ability to distinguish normal/abnormal conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in food-processing or manufacturing a plus.
- Ability to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment history.
- Must be available for a second-shift position.
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task and lead others.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently stands and walks. Occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment with temperatures varying from hot to cold. Pay
Annual salary range: $71,410.00 – $107,110.00. Actual compensation may vary based on job duties, experience, expertise, and work location.
Schedule
Full-time, second-shift position. Availability for weekends and shift work required.
