Team Leader OR RN Robotics

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse Operating Room Team Leader - Robotics Service Line position at Mount Sinai Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the operating room team, ensuring the readiness of the OR suite, and managing patient care in the robotics service line.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR suite appropriately to receive a new admission.
• Greets the patient upon arrival and initiates hemodynamic monitoring.
• Evaluates, assesses and documents patient's surgical status.
• Reports abnormal findings to physician and documents pre/post-op counts.
• Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations dealing with conflict in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates appropriate safety measures as it relates to potential radiation exposure.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of operation, care and handling of O.R. equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to perform new procedures, skills, and routines in specialty areas.

Requirements

• Current Licensure in the State of Florida.
• BLS required.
• National Professional Organization Certification (CNOR) preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Min 2 years in area of specialty preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of general safety and risk management procedures and responds appropriately to emergency situations, including fire, disaster and clinical emergencies.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) preferred.
• Collects and interprets data to monitor the departments performance and improve processes; and when applicable evaluates the outcomes related to the use of clinical practice guidelines.
• Assumes authority, accountability and responsibility for the formal and informal direction of others.
• Maintains a high level of employee satisfaction.
