Job Summary
We are seeking a Team Leader – Level IV – 1st Shift to join our manufacturing team at Cummins Inc. in Ladson, SC. This role involves:

Makes an impact in coordination, HSE compliance, quality assurance, delivery management, training and development, continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the activities of a group of employees to ensure production specifications and schedules are met, including volume, cost, wastage targets, and quality standards.
- Adhere to HSE standards, policies, and procedures, and use a proactive approach to reporting hazards and incidents.
- Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, and perform quality inspections.
- Monitor team performance, assign tasks, and address equipment faults, parts shortages, quality issues, and safety issues.
- Schedule, complete, and document on-the-job training and other training requirements.
- Aid in creating and maintaining a team-focused culture of continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across different zones.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant work experience or specialized skills.
- Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.
- Demonstrates the Cummins Core values, focusing on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Manages work, monitors performance, and holds team accountable.
- Directs and develops operators to meet safety, quality, and production targets.
- Manages conflict and promotes a team environment.
- Works cross-functionally for continuous process improvement.
- Requires hoist, crane, and LOTO training.
- Working experience with remanufactured parts is highly desired.
