Team Leader Engineering (Public Works)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor engineering staff, technicians, and project managers within the public works team.
• Be a trusted advisor for municipal clients, county agencies, and public stakeholders.
• Cookordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental specialists.
• Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, schedules, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, engineering standards, and permitting requirements.
• Support business development efforts by building client relationships and identifying new project opportunities.
• Provide strategic direction for public works initiatives, capital improvement programs, and long-term municipal infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of experience in consulting engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) preferred.
• 1+ years of experience mentoring/managing staff preferred.

Pay & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $112,240 – $179,584 (commensurate with experience).
