Job Summary

At ATC, the work we do matters. Every transmission line, substation, and infrastructure investment we deliver strengthens the reliability of the electric grid and helps power homes, businesses, and communities across our service territory. We're seeking an experienced and people-focused leader to join our Construction Management team as a Team Leader Construction Management. This role involves shaping the future of the grid while developing high-performing teams and driving excellence in construction execution.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop Construction Management employees

  • Create an engaged, accountable, and high-performing team culture

  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development

  • Mentor future leaders while building organizational capability

  • Lead Construction Managers and external construction resources supporting transmission line and substation capital projects

  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations

  • Balance competing priorities and allocate resources across multiple projects and programs

  • Drive effective contractor oversight and execution performance

  • Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and contractor and alliance partners

  • Influence decision-making across cross-functional teams

  • Align construction strategies with organizational priorities and business needs

  • Drive continuous improvement by promoting a culture of operational excellence and accountability

  • Champion process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and project outcomes

  • Identify opportunities to improve contractor performance, construction practices, and resource utilization

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in utility, energy, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction environments

    • Experience leading teams responsible for construction project execution

    • Demonstrated success managing contractors and delivering complex capital projects

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license

    • Utility transmission and/or substation construction experience

    • Experience leading large-scale infrastructure portfolios

    • Strong understanding of contractor management and construction governance practices

Pay Range

The targeted base pay for this position is $159,600 to $186,200 annually.
