Team Leader

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains production requirements, ensures quality standards, monitors safety and cleanliness, performs problem-solving, and trains associates.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains production requirements and ensures quality standards are met.
• Monitors cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
• Solves product problems and implements corrective actions.
• Performs production line adjustments as necessary.
• Completes required forms and paperwork.
• Trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
• Loads, unloads trucks, moves materials, verifies quantities, lot numbers, and corrects labels.
• Notifies materials control of discrepancies, arranges and condenses stock, maintains lot and FIFO control, checks locations and counts for accuracy, uses material in proper sequence, oversees vendor sort and customer complaints.
• May temporarily fill in for absentees on production lines.
• Repairs minor machine problems.
• Serves as a member of various committees as needed.

• Follows all safety rules and keeps the work area clean and orderly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and Specialized Training:
• Use a powered industrial truck, hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, computer and printer.
• Average of 2 - 4 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Associates degree or previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
• Office environment with noise from computer peripherals.
• Works in a factory environment with noise from the manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to moving equipment, parts, and electrical shock.
• Possibility of serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
• Sometimes lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
