Team Lead Merchandiser

Our corporate office is based in Tampa, FL, but we hire Merchandising Team Leads nationwide and are hiring immediately.

About the role

As a Team Lead you’ll manage a merchandising crew on-site executing special projects such as resets, remodels, and new store openings. You’ll ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while promoting teamwork among the crew, store operations, and construction teams. You’ll also uphold both our company’s and the retailer’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Represent Channel Partners and its business units in all interactions with retail partners, customers, and external vendors.
• Carry out company needs while supporting all Channel Partners policies and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with Project Manager and/or District Manager on assigned project updates, wins, and opportunities.
• Identify opportunities within assigned projects and collaborate with Project Manager or District Manager on specific action plans to address them.
• Ensure project-related reporting and scheduling are submitted on time with accuracy.
• Create a positive and engaging team environment with an open-door communication policy.
• Delegate and monitor team performance, providing additional coaching and training where needed.
• Motivate team members by providing positive feedback and recognition for outstanding performance.
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Maintain safety standards per OSHA required guidelines and report accidents immediately.
• Bring assigned projects in at or under budgeted hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ retail industry experience, including merchandising, installation, and leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication and customer support.
• Working knowledge of plan-o-grams and floorplans; ability to cross-reference multiple documents and interpret blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of fixture building, including racking, shelves, and assembly (e.g., cash register wraps and various fixtures).
• Ability to anchor gondola and perform seismic anchoring where needed.
• Completion of all internal certifications and training programs.
• May require certification to operate machinery (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, internet access, and basic tools (e.g., cordless drill, hammer drill, hammers, mallet, box cutter, screwdrivers, etc.); specialty tools may be required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Computer software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Personal mobile device required.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 50%.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• 95% of time dedicated to physical work: stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials and equipment, including lifting 50lbs+ regularly and performing repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in precarious or high locations, including frequent climbing and descending of ladders.
• Possible daily and/or overnight travel required.

Pay

Minimum Pay: USD $17.00/Hr. Maximum Pay: USD $20.00/Hr.

Schedule

Assignments can range from 0-40 hours per week based on project volume, travel willingness, and availability for additional projects. Weekly pay schedule with early wage access available.
