Team Lead Measurement Technology Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the development and implementation of advanced technical methods, standards, and quality management approaches in Measurement Technology within the R&D organization and across the company, ensuring cutting-edge performance and promoting autonomy from external expertise.
  • Cook up comprehensive technical support across R&D operations and various projects, leveraging deep expertise in Measurement Technology to address complex challenges and enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and partners to apply both established and innovative measurement methods, ensuring alignment with evolving technical and business needs.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine application and development processes to improve operational efficiency, increase quality standards, and optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and advisory support to team members and related departments on specialized Measurement Technology topics, fostering professional development and ensuring knowledge depth.
  • Champion and coordinate knowledge transfer initiatives within the team and broader organization to maintain high levels of expertise and technological advancement.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to integrate Measurement Technology solutions seamlessly with product testing, safety, and quality assurance processes.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies and methods that enhance measurement capabilities and R&D effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements related to measurement technology, ensuring compliance and proactive adaptation to changes.

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required, with a Master's degree strongly preferred to support advanced technical and leadership responsibilities.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in measurement technology or a related field, including significant exposure to leadership or coordination roles within R&D environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and applying technical standards, quality management methods, and advanced measurement techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences including technical teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience in knowledge management and transfer activities, ensuring distribution of expertise across teams and functions.
  • Familiarity with product safety standards and quality assurance processes relevant to powertrain and chassis technologies is advantageous.
