Team Lead II (6:00am to 6:00pm) B shift

About the role

Lead a team responsible for assembling products or components within an area of responsibility. Make decisions affecting work and employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing employees on various processes and operations.
• Instruct operators on proper work techniques, quality, and safety procedures, and housekeeping requirements.
• Check and arrange for materials, tools, and fixtures availability.
• Maintain flow of work to ensure on-time completion.
• Audit work of others and ensure quality procedures are followed.
• Evaluate team member performance against job requirements and goals.
• Perform internal process audits and report findings.
• Analyze and report on materials, processes, and products causing production disruptions.
• Assist with production posting and inventory accuracy.
• Communicate drawing and/or Bill of Materials (BOM) discrepancies to Engineering.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to supervise and coordinate activities within a diverse department.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, schematics, and explain to others.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience using an ERP system desirable.
• Understanding and applying elements of corrective and preventive actions.
• 4+ years experience performing work in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team - desirable.

Physical Demands

• Work classified as Medium-Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL).
• Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, up to 40 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Carry up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Push/pull up to 40 pounds frequently and more than 40 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Stand continuously, walk continuously, bend/stoop frequently, squat/kneel frequently, lift frequently, grip/manipulate/finger continuously, and use variable hand/power tools frequently.
