About the role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Lead to join our team. This role would report to the Facilities and Safety Manager, and would supervise a team of maintenance technicians in performing a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment, including cleaning, calibrations, inspections, testing, etc.
- Manage and perform reactive maintenance as needed
- Develop and execute improvement initiatives for minimizing equipment downtime, improving team efficiency, etc.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff on all maintenance issues
- Aid the Facilities and Safety Manager in managing various site projects, including meeting with contractors and performing administrative work
- Manage assembly and moving of furniture and equipment as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1+ years of leadership experience leading maintenance technicians or maintenance crews.
- Experience with preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting programs.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Understanding of basic building code requirements.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
- Basic finish skills, including paint and drywall.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks.
- Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
Skills
- Experience with automation equipment and/or PLCs.
- Certifications in any facilities discipline, particularly mechanical, electrical, or plumbing.
- First aid/CPR certification.
- Forklift experience/certification.
