Schedule

6:45 AM to 6:15 PM, every third weekend.

Requirements

  • 2 years of RN experience that included Labor & Delivery
  • Current RN license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 5–10 years of RN experience

About the Role

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute-care hospital offering medical, surgical, critical, and emergency services, including pediatric emergency care. It is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, and a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence. Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94-bed, all-private-suite hospital with Magnet status, providing emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical, surgical, and critical care services.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization through discharge and into ambulatory care.
  • Critically assess patient data to proactively mitigate changes in condition and initiate interprofessional consults as needed.
  • Lead the development and implementation of complex individual plans of care with defined goals, collaborating with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
  • Apply expert holistic clinical knowledge to anticipate and prioritize complex care needs, address barriers, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Champion evidence-based practices through scientific inquiry (e.g., participate in journal clubs, facilitate practice changes, recommend new standards, conduct literature searches, disseminate new knowledge).
  • Advance nursing practice by engaging in community service, patient/family education, advisory boards, ethics committees, adjunct faculty roles, or specialty organization leadership.
  • Analyze gaps in practice standards and provide peer feedback to enhance safe patient care.
  • Evaluate and adjust care to improve the patient and family experience.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
