Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Promote and enforce all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
- Lead and support a production team in daily cabinet door manufacturing operations
- Ensure team members follow work orders, production schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency to meet or exceed production goals
- Assign tasks, balance workloads, and adjust priorities as needed
- Train, coach, and mentor team members on job tasks, safety practices, and quality expectations
- Serve as the first level of problem-solving for production, quality, and personnel issues
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure cabinet doors meet specifications and standards
- Communicate production status, material needs, and issues to supervisors and management
- Assist with machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to motivate and coach team members in a production environment
- Solid understanding of cabinet door manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to read work orders, measurements, and basic drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Solid mathematical and basic computer skills
- Dependable, accountable, and safety-focused
Job Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in manufacturing required
- Prior lead, team leader, or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in cabinet, door, or woodworking manufacturing strongly preferred
- Basic computer skills for production tracking or reporting a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach, and move through production area for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50-75lbs occasionally
- Repetitive hand, arm, and wrist movements
- Exposure to noise, dust, and typical manufacturing conditions
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
