Team Lead - Business Development Group (BDG) | Fort Worth, Texas
About the role
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a Texas-based sales team dedicated to developing accounts in a defined region. The Team Lead organizes and manages their team to ensure all branches have adequate coverage, providing direct guidance and support based on sales experience to drive growth in sales, gross profit, and active customer numbers within a defined account portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Manage a group of sales individuals aligned in a team concept to support an assigned geography, ensuring sound sales and quality principles align with branch/regional objectives (e.g., sales, gross profit, and active customers).
- Coach and develop the account team by participating in hiring, providing training, utilizing communication and motivational techniques, managing performance, and rewarding high performers.
- Initiate communication and collaborate with branch and regional colleagues to pursue sales leads and significant quotation opportunities, improving chances for winning business.
- Analyze the assigned regional market, providing focus and direction on profitability and pricing strategies based on competitive, market, and customer dynamics using TTI systems, local resources, market data, and reporting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; business-related bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to two years of demonstrated successful sales experience as a BDG account representative selling the full TTI line card is preferred.

- Past sales performance demonstrating ability to sell the full TTI line card.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel.
- High energy, strong work ethic, and positive attitude dedicated to achieving BDG objectives through business development activities.
- Organized with good time management skills, including multitasking and the ability to reprioritize at a moment’s notice.
- Good working relationship with corporate Product Marketing teams.
- Documented quality record in both on-time percentage and sales errors.
- Makes intelligent pricing decisions based on situational analysis.
- Strong product, system, and operational knowledge.
- Strong prospecting, probing, and qualification skills to maximize ROI.
- Effectively interacts with department managers, individuals, and groups inside and outside the organization.
- Arrives on time to work scheduled hours and supports the local time zone of the assigned geography.
