About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician Team Leader with 3 years of facilities or commercial construction leadership experience. This role involves leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians responsible for carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and more across nearly 2 million square feet of commercial office space.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Building Engineers on tasks throughout the building
- Lead team in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and painting
- Prioritize workload for the team, ensuring proper communication with stakeholders and timelines for completion
- Proactively schedule and maintain routine maintenance, as well as identify work that needs to be done
- Provide courteous, high-quality service to team members by personally responding to requests for service
- Assist team members, vendors, and visitors as needed
- Prepare for and respond to emergency situations in each building
- Work Monday through Friday, with potential nights, days, holidays, and weekends as required
- Meet the physical requirements of the job and work in specified environmental conditions
- Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety procedures
Requirements
- Working knowledge of commercial carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
- Construction background
- Team Lead experience
- Proficient use of tools of the trade
- Must meet all legal requirements to work in the United States
- Demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members, vendors, and the public
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures
- Perform duties in a professional manner
- Make independent and sound judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
- Detailed oriented with satisfactory literacy, writing, documentation, communications, and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in computer-based programs in Microsoft and web-based platforms
- Meet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle:
- No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- No driver's license denial, suspension, or revocation in the last 3 years
- No driving under the influence (DUI) convictions in the past 3 years
