You’ll assist in achieving store success by managing key optical and lab processes (if applicable) to exceptional results. Responsibilities

  • Provide unsurpassed customer service, ensuring proactive and solution-driven interactions.
  • Assist customers with selections, offer recommendations, and support sales associates.
  • Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder.
  • In the lab (if applicable):
    • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
    • Strengthen associates’ knowledge, skills, and certification in lens and lab technology.
    • Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
    • Maintain a safe working environment and demonstrate safe work practices.
    • Operate, clean, and maintain lab tools and systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong optical and retail experience.
  • Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong basic math skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
  • Leadership and training experience.
  • Edging and mounting experience.
  • Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
  • LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification.
  • LensCrafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program certification.
  • Experience with optical machinery and instruments.
  • Customer service experience.
  • AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options.

Pay

Pay range: $19.25 – $32.75 per hour. Employee pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be eligible for a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
