Team Lead (3rd Shift)

About the Role

A Team Lead I at Milwaukee Tool is responsible for overseeing safety, quality, productivity, and training within their assigned cost center. This role serves as a standard bearer for the company’s culture and market leadership in hand tools, focusing on both short- and long-term success of assigned equipment and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate priorities based on direction from supervision.
• Develop and train personnel on assigned equipment, including spot correction training, scheduled training, and identifying barriers to team development.
• Maintain accuracy of work instructions.
• Drive continuous Lean/6S progression on assigned equipment.
• Ensure equipment exceeds performance metrics.
• Coordinate timely job changeovers by effectively utilizing the team.
• Work with the Department Lead and Plant Supervisor to fulfill Work Orders.
• Maintain communication with Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Planning Teams to ensure efficient material utilization.

• Prior training and development experience.
• Knowledge of automated systems or willingness to learn.
• Ability to interpret work instructions and use key performance indicators to enact change.
• Understanding of Lean/6S methodology.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Operations Field preferred.
• 1–2 years of production experience.
