Team Lead - 2ND Shift 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Responsibilities
The Senior Material Handler, Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead is responsible for oversight of the associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
- Training: mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities, Standard Operating Procedures, and forklift operation and certification
- Shipping/Receiving: oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments
- Customer Service: conduct yourself in a professional manner, communicate with customers, and prepare required activity reports
- Quality Control: verify products and/or orders meet quality standards, report any damages or discrepancies, and participate in quality meetings
- Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: comply with relevant ISO standards, execute all safety protocols, and maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area
- Labor Management: direct the operations of the warehouse work team, assist associates and temporary labor, and participate in establishing work schedules
- Equipment Operation: operate equipment such as sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack
- Maintenance: perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned
- Other Duties: perform other clerical and administrative tasks as guided by site management
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- Able to operate MHE
- Able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
- Basic computer skills, RF Scanners, WMS functions
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Basic to intermediate level mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of the organization
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
Qualifications
- Preferred: 2-4 years’ experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
- Preferred: 2-4 years proven forklift experience
- Preferred: Current or prior MHE certification
Physical Demands
Occasional hand and finger manipulation, sitting, handling product and/or packaging materials. Frequent bending, constantly walking and standing. Ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
Work Environment
Rare exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Pay
Hourly pay, with actual compensation determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
