About the Role

The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department, allowing the Supervisor to focus more on personnel and less on daily workflow issues. This role ensures continuous production flow by addressing bottlenecks, filling in positions as needed, identifying part or resource shortages, and facilitating Lean Manufacturing processes. The Team Coordinator may also request non-personnel related assistance from other departments and perform other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Reduces production bottlenecks on the manufacturing product line.
  • Addresses and corrects workflow issues.
  • Learns all positions and fills in as needed.
  • Identifies part and resource shortages and provides solutions.
  • Communicates production issues to Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers as appropriate.
  • Facilitates implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes.
  • Requests assistance from other departments by completing work orders and coordinating with engineering and SFA teams.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED with minimal WorkKeys scores for the position.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Previous lead position experience (preferred).

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and between 50–100 pounds with assistance.
  • Able to learn and use all hand tools required for positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools, forklifts, etc.
  • Able to effectively direct the flow of others and foster teamwork.
  • Able to resolve conflict and work long hours or a variety of shifts as needed.
  • Able to learn and utilize materials tracking systems.
  • Ability to work in environments with temperatures occasionally above 100°F or below 32°F.

Travel

Up to 10% travel may be required depending on product line needs.
