Teaching Faculty I, 12 Month Salaried - Applied Behavior Analysis Psychology (Panama City Campus)

About the Role
The Department of Psychology at Florida State University seeks a Teaching Faculty member to contribute to both the ABA Master’s Program and the undergraduate psychology program at the Panama City campus. The FSU ABA Master’s program is accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and follows a scientist-practitioner model, preparing students for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the ABA Master’s Program and undergraduate psychology program.
- Mentor graduate students and supervise clinical capstone studies for the ABA program.
- Engage in service to the ABA program, psychology program, and FSU Panama City campus.
Qualifications
- PhD in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or a related field with doctoral preparation in Behavior Analysis/ABA. ABD (All But Dissertation) candidates may apply if degree completion is expected by the start of the position.
- Must meet requirements for teaching in an ABAI-accredited, Verified Course Sequence program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA).
- Experience in the clinical application of ABA across health-related populations (e.g., autism, aging, mental health).
- Minimum of two years of university-level teaching experience.
- Experience conducting and overseeing applied research and mentoring student research or clinical projects.
- Ability to teach a variety of courses in behavior analysis and psychology, including graduate-level courses in Ethics, Skinner’s Theory of Behaviorism, Basic Principles of Behavior, and undergraduate psychology courses.
- Familiarity with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) credentialing requirements and ABAI accreditation policies.
- Demonstrated ability to teach high-quality university courses.
This is a full-time, 12-month salaried position beginning in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027, located on-site in Panama City, FL.
