About the role

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science (SES) at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the Teaching Associate Professor or Teaching Professor level in the broad areas of aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the department’s academic mission
  • Participate in curriculum development
  • Engage in service activities within the department and school
  • Represent the institution in professional communities

Requirements

  • Hold a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrate a strong record of excellence in teaching
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement and industry or government experience in aerospace engineering fields such as aerodynamics, propulsion, flight dynamics and control, aerospace structures, or related areas

Pay

Compensation Range: In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the annual base range for this position is $140,000-$160,000. This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials.

Schedule

The position is a full-time, nine-month appointment.
