About the role
The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for part-time teaching associates to teach elementary language courses in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Candidates must have an MA or a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline and be able to demonstrate effective teaching in undergraduate courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach elementary language courses in Arabic, French, German, Italian, or Spanish
- Develop and implement course materials and lesson plans
- Assess student learning through various methods including quizzes, tests, and class participation
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participate in department meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- A Master's degree or a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses
- Ability to demonstrate effective teaching skills
- Knowledge of the target language(s)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and working with diverse student populations
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the target language(s)
