Teaching Assistant, Probationary (Waverly)

About the Role

Assist a special education teacher in providing academic, social, and/or communication skills to students or groups of students who have learning, emotional, or physical disabilities in a K/1 self-contained classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of educational programs and services under the direction of a special education teacher.

Requirements

• NYS certification: Teaching Assistant
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance (required under SAVE Law, Education Law 305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c, and 3035)

Employment Terms

10-month, probationary position.

Pay

Base salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers' Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule.
