Full-time position (7.5 hours/day) supporting educators in day-to-day functions and filling absences within an assigned building.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate large group instruction and activities from provided plans for students.
- Provide one-to-one or small group reinforcement of skills for students.
- Assist students with notetaking, test preparation, and assignment organization.
Requirements
- Completed at least 60 semester hours or equivalent courses at a regionally accredited college or university in Pennsylvania, or at least three years of experience as a paraprofessional in a school entity and currently employed as one.
- Meets pre-employment requirements for background clearances, citizenship, and good moral character under the School Code and Child Protective Services Law.
- At least 25 years of age.
- Must complete thirty (30) hours of training annually to maintain Highly Qualified Status and continued professional development.
- Able to stand and sit for long periods, bend, stretch, and lift 40 pounds; corrected hearing and vision within normal ranges.
Clearances (if hired)
- Criminal Record Check (less than one year old).
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old).
- FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old).
- TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old).
- Physical examination (less than one year old, if applicable).
