Teacher/Tutor - School Day

About the role

We are hiring dynamic tutors to teach ELA at a local Dayton school during the school day. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
• Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
• Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
• Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
• Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Compensation:
  • With Bachelor's Degree: From $28.00 per hour.
  • With valid Teaching Certification: From $30.00 per hour.
  • Bonus potential.

Schedule

Part-Time: 20-35 hours a week, Tuesday through Saturday, hours and days may vary based on school schedule.

Location

Dunbar High School, Dayton, OH.

Education/Experience

• High School-aged students, English Language Arts.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.
