Tutor/Teacher

About the role

Huntington Learning Center of Turnersville seeks tutors to assist students in grades K-12 with reading, writing, phonics, math, study skills, and SAT/ACT prep. Tutoring takes place in-person at our center in Turnersville, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Teach students, typically one-to-one basis
• Pair with student schedules as needed
• No lesson planning, grading, or other work outside of the classroom
• Our full-time staff handles parent interaction and curriculum

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Teaching Certification preferred, but other highly qualified candidates considered for some roles
• Professional presentation and demeanor
• Desire to positively impact students' lives

Schedule

We teach students Monday-Thursday from 3:30 pm - 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am - 1:30 pm. This is a part-time position. Tutors' weekly hours vary based on availability.

Pay

$14-17 per hour.

Covid-19 Considerations

We follow CDC guidelines, including temperature checks, health screenings, social distancing, regular disinfecting, face coverings, and reduced capacity.
