Responsibilities

• Lead afterschool tutoring for ELA, MATH, SCIENCES for K–8 students.
• Facilitate hands-on science activities in chemistry, biology, and applied STEM.
• Deliver targeted tutoring in literacy, math, and STEM for K–12 students.
• Support students with learning differences using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, high-energy learning environment.
• Handle classroom setup, materials, and basic inventory.
• Communicate student updates to parents and caregivers as directed.
• Attend team check-ins and required BBX training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Education, STEM, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in an educational setting required — tutoring centers (Kumon, Sylvan, etc.), STEM camps, learning academies, or afterschool programs qualify.
• Understanding of Neurodiversity learning needs and support.
• Comfortable managing a classroom independently.
• Strong communicator with students, parents, and teammates.
• Reliable, adaptable, and mission-aligned.
• Familiarity with FLL, FTC, or robotics competitions is a strong plus.
• Hands-on chemistry or biology project experience is a plus.

Schedule

Flexible part-time schedule between 3 PM-7 PM and/or Saturday (9 AM - 2 PM).
