Qualifications

• New Jersey elementary teacher certificate with a Students with Disabilities certificate or a Teacher of the Handicapped certificate
• Excellent experience in teaching and working with children (preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of:
  • Child growth and development
  • Effective instructional strategies
  • Classroom management
  • Learning assessment and diagnosis
  • Research related to learning
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, and the community
• Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
