Special Education Teachers
We’re hiring motivated Special Education Teachers with an LBS1 endorsement to support students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school programs. This role is ideal for educators who thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to delivering high-quality, individualized instruction.
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Contract Length: 10 months
Hours per Week: 30
Openings: K-12
Interview: In-person required
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs
- Provide targeted interventions and academic support
- Collaborate with general education staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support a positive, team-driven learning environment
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- One year of teaching experience (preferred)
- State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Pay
$57/hr
Schedule
Consistent daytime hours with a 30-minute unpaid break
