RemoteRemoteEducation$45–$50/hrPart-time

LitLab helps developing readers build confidence and fluency. Founded by teachers, LitLab gives educators the tools to find and create decodable texts, provide students with meaningful reading practice, and understand how their students are progressing, all aligned to their existing curriculum. Today, we reach hundreds of thousands of students.

We’re a fast-growing startup and a collaborative, mission-driven team that cares deeply about the teachers and students we serve. We move with urgency and purpose, experiment with bold ideas, and prioritize learning and progress over perfection. We take collective ownership of our work, adapt quickly as we learn, and strive to make every interaction with LitLab thoughtful, useful, and delightful.

About the Role

We are hiring a part-time Teacher Community Manager to grow LitLab’s presence across educator communities, social channels, and teacher networks. You will build relationships, programs, and content that help teachers share LitLab authentically with other educators.

You might be a former K–5 teacher, literacy coach, interventionist, teacher-creator, or community builder. What matters most is that you understand teachers, communicate clearly, take initiative, and know how to build trust.

Responsibilities

  • Create social content featuring teacher stories, classroom examples, simple graphics, and short-form video.
  • Recruit and support a network of teacher advocates who share LitLab through their own voices and classroom experiences.
  • Build a helpful, credible presence in K–5 literacy and Science of Reading communities.
  • Develop systems that encourage teachers to share the resources and experiences they create with LitLab.
  • Build relationships with teachers, literacy influencers, curriculum communities, and aligned organizations.
  • Test community and social growth strategies, measure their impact, and prioritize what works.

Qualifications

We would be especially excited to meet someone who:

  • Has experience as a K–5 teacher, literacy coach, reading interventionist, or instructional leader.
  • Has experience featuring themselves with their magnetic & authentic personality that would translate to media: webinars, short form video, etc…
  • Understands foundational literacy instruction and the Science of Reading community.
  • Writes and communicates clearly, naturally, and energetically in a voice that resonates with teachers.
  • Has participated actively in educator communities, online or in person.
  • Enjoys building relationships and turning open-ended ideas into practical programs.
  • Can create simple, polished graphics and can make engaging short-form video.
  • Is organized, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable learning through experimentation.

You do not need to meet every qualification. We welcome educators who have built an audience, community, resource library, professional network, or other initiative, even without a formal marketing title.

Schedule
