TEACHER, SECONDARY (MIDDLE) - WOODSHOP, 6-8TH GRADE

About the role

Teaches specific grade level subject matter to diverse middle school student population following District standards-based curriculum. Helps all students develop competence and confidence simultaneously through a balance of acquiring basic skills and developing conceptual understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
  • Maintains discipline and monitors student behavior.
  • Evaluates student performance and behavior.
  • Prepares lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Instructs students individually and in groups.
  • Evaluates student progress and reports grades.
  • Communicates with parents and guardians about student issues.
  • Participates in extra-duty activities as outlined in the Teachers' Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • A Master's Degree is required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
  • Has a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English for ELA-S positions.
  • Must live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.

Pay

The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. For updates or adjustments, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.
