TEACHER, SECONDARY (MIDDLE) - MATH, 6TH-8TH GRADE
About the role
Teaches specific grade level subject matter to diverse middle school student population following District standards-based curriculum. Helps all students develop competence and confidence simultaneously through a balance of acquiring basic skills and developing conceptual understanding.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Maintains discipline and monitors student behavior.
- Evaluates student performance and behavior.
- Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials.
- Prepares lesson plans and materials according to District approved curriculum guidelines.
- Administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments.
- Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Participates in extra-duty activities as outlined in the Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- A Master's Degree is required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
- Has a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Lives and works with a permanent home address in Colorado.
- Can meet the physical demands of the position.

Pay
The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. For updates or adjustments, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.
