NMPED is working to recruit more licensed teachers into our state’s education system while ensuring that they are well prepared to teach New Mexico’s culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse student populations. This includes deep support every step of the way to ensure that they stay in the profession and have ample opportunity for professional growth and career advancement.

Teacher Residency

A Teacher Resident receives a stipend of no less than thirty-five thousand ($35,000) yearly which is distributed to them by the EPP.
