Teacher-Professional Educator

About the role

Loretto Catholic School seeks a Certified Catholic School Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This position is exempt and classified as a Certified Teacher under the Arizona Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic Mission of the School by aligning with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Model Gospel values through personal faith and behavior, actively participating in faith community activities.
• Teach using a Catholic religious curriculum, preparing lessons aligned with academic goals.
• Evaluate student progress effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom discipline and enforce School policies.
• Participate in faculty trainings and meetings as required.
• Work collaboratively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Certification as a Teacher from the State of Arizona.
• Covenants of Employment with the Roman Catholic Church.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer technology and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Availability for evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to fostering lay leadership in the Roman Catholic Church.
• If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to a ministerial environment.
• Complete a criminal history and background check.
